Ok. So where did the saying "You mad, bro" Come from?

My friend Alonzo started telling me this at school a few months back whenever I'm mad. I thought it was something unique and he came up with it to make me even madder. LOL, I always replied "Naa, I'm good." But now I see and hear it everywhere. Does anyone know how this trend started?
