To add to what Ace said... THey are HIGH quality precision lenses. They are built SOLID instead of plastic. Glass is top of the line, components are top of the line. Image quality is SERIOUSLY improved over the consumer grade lenses. The sharpness and clarity will seriously make you hate your consumer grade lenses it's that much different.
