What to do to become a professional PHOTOGRAPHER?

i currently own a Canon DSLR 550D. I love using it and i take photos everwhere and nearly everday of random things and edit them using photoshop or picassa. Im currently in year 12 and about to complete my HSC. I want to become a really good photographer especially for fashion photography. I LOVE fashion. What could i do after school to help me persue my dream. Should i do tafe or uni? If so, which courses are the best for my area of interest. Please answer all the questions not just part. Thank you
