Should i buy Abandon by meg cabot?

The story seems amazing, as its a modern retelling of the greek myth about persephone and hades. i was excited to buy it until i read the reviews. i mean, not all of them were bad, but most of them disappointed me. However, i just want to buy the book so badly! (at the same time, i don't to waste my money on something that's not worth it). So should i buy it? or no?
